Overview and Experience

I have always had an interest in helping others and have built a career in providing trauma-informed therapy in a variety of mental health settings including inpatient substance abuse treatment, outpatient therapy, and crisis deescalation. I have a good head on my shoulders, am a problem solver, and tend to respond well in a crisis situation. However, in January 2021, I entered the family court system with a high-conflict individual and my world was rocked! Going blindly into a war I didn't know I'd signed up for, I stumbled upon Tina Swithin and One Mom's Battle, relying heavily on the information and resources provided there as I attempted to navigate this process. I was so excited to pursue certification as a high conflict divorce consultant as a way to blend my passion for helping others with my extensive knowledge and firsthand experience in divorce and custody issues with an antagonistic individual. With 12+ years’ background as a trauma-informed mental health therapist, I can help you emotionally regulate so you are better able to focus your energy on other invaluable aspects of this process, including effective communication, boundary-setting, and advocating for your children within a high-conflict situation. I will walk alongside you step by step providing coaching, skills, and tools that serve to decrease overall distress from post-separation abuse, increase understanding of the family court system, and navigate divorce, custody, and co-parenting issues as or even before they arise. This process is a marathon, not a sprint, and it has the potential to be a long and lonely road. But you do not have to do this alone! With proper preparation and strategy, we can work together for the greater good!
